AP PGECET 2018 Exam Dates have been released now. Andhra Pradesh Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (AP PGECET 2018) is conducted by Andhra University, Visakhapatnam on the behalf of A.P. State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE). It is a state level entrance test through which students get admission in postgraduate engineering, pharmacy and planning courses. Every year, AP PGECET will be held in the month of May. It is conducted once in a year. Interested candidates can get the overall information about AP PGECET 2018 through this article. AP PGECET 2018 - Eligibility
Aspirants should meet the given below requirements to be able to write the exam:
- Aspirants should be an Indian National.
- They should be a resident of Andhra Pradesh and should satisfy local/non-local status requirements as laid down in the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission) Order, 1974 as subsequently amended.
- Candidates must hold a relevant Bachelors qualifying degree or its equivalent in the relevant field with at least 50% marks ( 45% in case of reserved category candidates) from an AICTE/UGC approved institution recognised by the Government of Andhra Pradesh as equivalent thereto for admission into the relevant ME/ MTech/ MPharmacy courses into the Courses corresponding to the Degrees.
- Aspirants pursuing a BTech course or its equivalent/BPharm course will be eligible for admission to relevant ME/MTech/ MPharmacy courses only if they have completed the prescribed course and passed all the subjects for the award of degree by the concerned university on the date of counselling for admission into the colleges.
Eligibility for admission to ME/ MTech/ MPharm:
- Aspirants should have qualified APPGECET and in the test paper relevant to the course they seek admission.
- Mere appearance does not entitle students to be considered for admission to their preferred course unless they satisfy the eligibility requirements and other related criterias.
- Admission to 85% of the seats in each course is reserved for local candidates and the remaining 15% of the seats will be un-reserved seats as specified in the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulations and Admissions) Order, 1974 as subsequently amen
- While filling seats in colleges, first preference will be given to aspirants who have qualified GATE / GPAT based on their test scores. The remaining seats will be filled with candidates qualified in AP PGECET as per their merit ranks.
AP PGECET 2018 - Application Form
Candidates can check the AP PGECET Registration 2018 details from below:
- Candidates can fill the AP PGECET application form via online mode through the website.
- The registration process will be started from the first week of March 2018.
- Candidates will be provided with the extra period to fill the application form with the payment of required late fee.
- Firstly, candidates have to pay the application fee before filling the application form.
- Candidates also have to upload the scanned images of photograph and signature.
- The scanned images should be in .jpg or .jpeg format.
- The image size should be 50KB for photograph and 30KB for signature.
- There will be no need to send the application form to the exam conducting authority.
AP PGECET 2018 - Application Fee
Candidates can pay the application fee through AP online centres or through online payment gateway by credit card, debit card and net banking. The application fee will be Rs. 800/- for general and Rs. 400/-for SC/ST (for each paper).

AP PGECET 2018 - Exam Pattern
Candidates can know each and every details about the paper pattern of AP PGECET 2018 from this section. It includes information about total number of questions appeared in the examination, marking scheme, exam duration, etc.
- Sessions: The examination will be organized in two sessions.
- Number of Papers: AP PGECET is conducted for a total of 14 papers.
- Mode of Examination: The examination will be conducted in online mode.
- Number of Questions: The examination will contain total 120 questions.
- Type of Questions: Only objective type questions having four alternatives will be appeared in the test.

Steps To Apply for AP PGECET 2018

- Then click on “Apply Online” link.
- Candidate has to pay the registration fee through AP Online or Credit/Debit Card with their necessary details like name, date of birth, Mobile number etc. Candidate will get the registration no. registered mobile no. after fee payment
- Candidate will receive the payment verification by giving Transaction ID, Name, Hall ticket, Mobile no. etc.
- Candidate finally have to proceed to fill “AP PGECET Online Application Form 2018” with following information..
- Qualifying Hall ticket
- Specialization in qualifying Degree.
- SSC Hall ticket no.
- Date of birth
- local status (AU/SVU/OU/local/Non local)
- Mobile number & E-Mail ID & etc.
- Candidate need to upload their recent colour photograph (< 30 KB) & signature (< 30 KB) in JPG format.
- Submit and Take printout of the Application form for future reference.

The eligible candidates can download their AP PGECET 2018 admit card from the 3rd week of May 2018 tentatively. To download the hall ticket, candidates have to enter the registration number and select the test they have chosen in the application form. The duly completed downloaded admit card will have to be produced at the allotted test center.
