Namma Metro , also known as Bengaluru Metro is a metro system serving the city of Bengaluru, India. It is currently the second longest operational metro network in India after the Delhi Metro. On the other hand, Namma Metro was ranked the 83rd largest metro system in terms of length and the 79th largest metro network in terms of number of operating stations in the world. It also contains the first underground metro line in South India. The metro network consists of two colour-coded lines, with a total length of 42.3 kilometres serving 41 stations. The system has a mix of underground, at-grade, and elevated stations using standard-gauge tracks. The metro has an average daily ridership of 315,000 passengers. By 2022, the system is expected to complete its phase 2 network and provide connectivity to the city's important tech hubs of Electronics City and Whitefield.

BMRCL RECRUITMENT 2018 - EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION

1. Manager (Operations / OCC)
a. Minimum Educational Qualification: Degree in any Discipline / Diploma in Engineering.
b. Experience: Post qualification experience of minimum 10 years, out of which not less than 3 years’ experience in Train Operation in any of the Electrified Division of Indian Railways OR Suburban Railway System / Metro Railways. Candidates having worked in Modern Metro Rail System will be preferred. Knowledge of Kannada is desirable.
2. Manager (IT): 
a. Minimum Educational Qualification: B.E. in Computer Science / Electronics & Telecommunication / Information Science / MCA.
b. Experience: Post qualification experience of minimum 10 years in Government / reputed IT Company. Out of this, at least 5 years’ experience in maintenance and operation of IT systems. Experience of managing Data Centre, Database Management System, LAN and EPABX will be an added advantage Domain knowledge of . Net Technologies with backend SQL Server / Oracle, Networking and Client Server Technologies is desirable. Knowledge of Kannada desirable
