No ‘MODERATION’ in marks now onwards in CBSE
An alarming news for all the students grabbing knowledge under Central Board of Secondary Education. This year the average marks of 12th class result going to suffer a decrement of upto 10% following the board’s decision not to moderate or scale the marks which was judicially and officially conducted in the past.
The decision was made by board official’s at a meeting of school boards, called by CBSE on April 24th not to increase marks through moderation. "The board has adopted the consensus on the issue of moderation of marks. This is expected to result in a drop in marks scored as well as a marginal dip in the pass percentage. This is likely to be the trend across boards," said a senior CBSE official.
“Both the aggregate and subject-wise average marks would be affected,” said another official. The average drop will vary from 6% to 10% depending on the marks scored in each subject.
