The candidates who qualify for the award of Junior Research Fellowship are eligible to pursue research in the subject of their post-graduation or in a related subject and are also eligible for Assistant Professor.

CBSE UGC NET Result and Cutoff Declaration Process

Minimum marks to be obtained in NET for considering a candidate for the award of JRF and eligibility for Assistant Professor.The candidates are required to obtain minimum marks separately in Paper-I, Paper-II and Paper –III as given below:

Amongst those candidates who have cleared step I, a merit list will be prepared subject-wise and category-wise using the aggregate marks of all the three papers secured by such candidates.Top 6% candidates (for each subject and category), from the merit list mentioned under step II, will be declared NET qualified for eligibility for Assistant Professor only.A separate merit list for the award of JRF will be prepared from amongst the NET qualified candidates figuring in the merit list prepared under step III by using the formula mentioned below

No. of slots under General (UR) category for JRF in a subject =

No. of candidates who have opted for JRF and are qualified for eligibility for Assistant Professor in that subject X No. of slots available under General (UR) category

 

 

Total No. of General (UR) candidates who have opted for JRF and are qualified for eligibility for Assistant Professor.

 

The similar formula will be used for OBC/SC/ST category and all the subjects.

What is the procedure to claim CBSE UGC NET Nov 2017 Result?

After the UGC NET Nov 2017 Result Declaration, those who found not to be satisfied with the given marks and scorecard may claim their CBSE UGC NET Answer Keys and send a request to the Director, NET Unit, CBSE, H-149, Sector – 63, Noida – 201309, Distt. Gautam Budh Nagar (UP).

The request should stand with proof from standard books/literature along with a Demand Draft of INR 5000/- drawn in favor of Secretary CBSE (payable at Delhi/Noida).

The claim request would be made within the 1 month of Result declaration. If any candidate sends his/her Result Claim Request after the last date, then his/her request will be canceled by the exam authorities.

Valid requests in all respects will be placed before the expert committee for the re-examination of the answer key(s). In case the answer(s) is /are found to be incorrect, CBSE will process the result in the light of changed key(s ) and qualify the additional candidates for JRF and/or eligibility for Assistant Professor without changing the result of candidates qualified provisionally as per this notification.
