The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee, the organising institute for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2017, will declare the results of the examination on its official website on Monday (March 26).
The test was conducted on February 4, 5, 11 and 12. The answer keys were released on February 27.
Conducted by the Indian Institute of Science and the IIT, GATE scores are used for admission to MTech/PhD programmes in IITs, IISc and various other institutes. GATE is conducted in 23 disciplines of engineering and science subjects and identifies the candidate’s understanding of a subject and aptitude and eligibility for higher studies.

IIT Roorkee initially announced that the results for GATE 2017 will be declared on March 27, however, the Institute has released the result a day in advance.
After the declaration of results, GATE scorecards can be downloaded by
(a) All SC/ST/PwD candidates whose marks are greater than or equal to the qualifying mark of SC/ST/PwD candidates in their respective papers, and
(b) All other candidates whose marks are greater than or equal to the qualifying mark of OBC (NCL) candidates in their respective papers.
