In 2012, the government-run Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) that earlier conducted the AIEEE, announced the JEE that replaced the AIEEE and IIT-JEE. The JEE-Main, which replaces AIEEE, is for admission to the National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), and some other colleges designated as "centrally funded technical institutes" (CFTIs) The JEE-Advanced, which replaces IIT-JEE, is for admission to the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). Only the students selected in JEE Mains are eligible for appearing in JEE Advanced. About 2,24,000 Top students will be selected from 2018.

JEE MAIN 2018 ADMIT CARD - Details

JEE Main Admit Card 2018 will be released in the 2nd week of March 2018. JEE Main 2018 is a national level examination conducted for engineering and architecture aspirants. This exam will be organized by the CBSE board. JEE Main exam is organized for providing admissions in B.Tech and B.Arch courses offered by NITs, IIITs, CFTIs & various other colleges and universities of India. JEE MAIN 2018 ADMIT CARD - Important points

  • Carry the admit card to exam centre along with the one ID proof.
  • Candidates can carry the Aadhaar Card/Voter ID Card.
  • Candidates of PWD category must carry a photocopy of PWD certificate.
  • Check all the details printed in the JEE Main admit card 2018.
  • In case of any mistake, contact to the JEE Main Secretariat.

JEE MAIN 2018 ADMIT CARD

JEE Main Admit Card will be made available online by CBSE, tentatively in the second week of March 2018. After its availability, candidates who have submitted their application forms successfully, have to download the Admit Card by entering their Application Number and password.

Students need to note that the CBSE does not send JEE Main 2018 admit cards individually to anyone. So, it is important for all applicants to present the JEE Main 2018 Admit Card at the examination center as, without it, one won’t be allowed to enter the hall or take the exam. Please carry an identity proof to the examination hall as an additional proof.

How To Download JEE MAIN 2018 ADMIT CARD

The steps to download the admit card is mentioned here:

  • Go to the official website and click on the link “Admit Card”.
  • Enter your  application number and password and click on enter/submit
  • Provide the roll number and details related to class 12th board/qualifying examination. The same process is applicable for candidates who have passed class 12th  in the previous year
  • Download and print the admit card

Important: Before downloading JEE Main 2018 admit card, ensure that all the details reflecting on the admit card are correct.

JEE MAIN 2018 ADMIT CARD - Slot Booking

From the year 2018, CBSE board has introduced slot booking process. Candidates was able to book their slot for the online mode examination only. Slot booking was done through online mode. Candidates could book their slot while filling up the application form. Slots was allotted to candidates on the basis of first come first serve. In case candidates did not book their slot than randomly slots has been allotted to candidates as per the availability.

JEE MAIN 2018 ADMIT CARD - Date

The authority may release the admit card in the second week of March 2018. JEE Main exam will be conducted on 8th April 2018 for pen and paper based mode and 15th & 16th April 2018 for online mode exam. The authority shall release the JEE Main Answer Key and OMR sheets during 24th – 27th April 2018. JEE Main Result 2018 will be declared on 30th April 2018 (Paper 1) & 31st May 2018 (Paper 2). After result announcement, candidates can participate in the JEE Main 2018 Counselling Process as per their rank.

Forgot Application Number For JEE MAIN 2018 ADMIT CARD

Application number is the mandatory detail which is required to download the JEE Main 2018 admit card. In case candidates forgot their application number they can retrieve it through “Forgot Application Number” option. Firstly click on the “Forgot Application Number” option. A new page will be opened. Fill the necessary details like Candidate’s Name, Mother’s Name, Father’s Name, Date of Birth, State of Eligibility and Security Code. After filling the details, click on the “Submit” button and retrieve your password.

JEE MAIN 2018 ADMIT CARD - Cut Off

One needs to clear a certain score to be eligible to appear for JEE Advanced. This score will depend upon a lot of factors, such as the number of students who attempt the exam, and the difficulty of the paper. Generally, the cutoffs are as follows:

  • 105-115 for General Category
  • 70-75 for OBC
  • 50-55 for SC
  • 45-50 for ST
