JNTUH In the Minutes of the 47th Meeting of the Standing Committee of the Academic Senate of JNTUH ref.(1) cited above, it was resolved that there shall be no credit based detentions for the academic year 2019-20, due to Covid-19 pandemic. The students who have been detained due to shortage of credits in the previous academic year were also promoted to next academic yearJNTUH B.Tech/B.Pharm sem Revised Academic Year For the Academic Year 2021-22.

This relaxation was approved only for the academic year 2019-20. The information with reference to credit based detention was communicated through Director of Evaluation letters ref.(2 & 3) cited above.
Based on the prevailing conditions of Covid-19 pandemic, the relaxation from credit based detention was approved for the academic year 2020-21 (i.e. for promoting to the academic year 2021-22) also ref. (4) cited above.
In the current scenario, the normal conditions has been restored and the classwork including all other academic activities are being conducted in off-line mode by following Covid related norms.

Don’t Forget In view of it, the University decided to implement credit based detention for the academic year 2021-22, all the Principal are instructed to collect the Undertaking Form (enclosed Annexure I & II) from the B.Tech/B.Pharm 2nd & 3rd years students who are presently attending classwork of B.Tech/B.Pharm 3rd year and 4th year 1st semester respectively, in order to promote students provisionally to the academic year 2022-23.
