KCET 2018 - Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria of KCET 2018 define certain parameter on the basis of which candidates can take up the entrance exam. If the candidate does not fit in the prescribed KCET 2018 eligibility criteria, then he or she will be not allowed to appear in the exam. The eligibility criteria of KCET 2018 is different for different categories, whereas the citizenship criteria will be same for all the candidates i.e. Indian.
The Candidates who possess below Mentioned Educational Qualifications are only eligible to write KCET 2018 Exam.
- B.E/ B. Tech: Candidates should complete 2nd PUC/ 12th Standard or an Equivalent Examination with minimum 45% Marks in Physics and Mathematics with Chemistry/ Biology.
- MBBS or BDS: Candidates should pass in 2nd PUC/12th Std or an Equivalent test with the minimum of 50% marks in the Physics, Chemistry, Biology subjects.
- BAMS, BUMS, BNYS & BHMS: Candidates should complete 2nd PUC/12th Std or an Equivalent test with minimum 50% marks in the Physics, Chemistry, Biology subjects.
- B. Arch: Candidates should clear Inter/12th Std or an Equivalent test with minimum 50% marks in all the subjects and needs to study Mathematics as a compulsory subject.
- B. V. Sc. & A.H: Candidates should complete 12th Std/2nd PUC or an Equivalent qualification with minimum 50% Marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology subjects.
- B.Pharm: Candidates should pass 12th Std/Inter or an Equivalent test with English and should get minimum 45% Marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology subjects or PCM subjects.
- Qualification for 2nd Year B. Pharma (Lateral Entry): Candidates should complete Diploma in Pharmacy with minimum 45% Marks from an educational institution that is approved by the Pharmacy Examination Council of India.
- D Pharma Qualification: Candidates should clear 2nd PUC/12th Std or an Equivalent test with minimum 45% Marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology subjects or PCM subjects. OR needs to qualify for Diploma in Pharmacy test from an educational institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India.
- For B.Sc. (Agriculture), B.Sc. (Sericulture), B.Sc. (Forestry). B.Sc.(Horticulture), B.Sc.(Agri. Biotech), B. H. Sc.(Home Science), B. Tech.(Food Science & Tech.), b. Tech.(Food Technology), and B. Tech in Agriculture or B.Sc.(Ag Marketing and Co-operation): Candidates should complete 12th Std/2nd PUC or an Equivalent qualification in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics.
Additional Requirements for KCET 2018 Exam
- The Applicants from Karnataka and Jammu Kashmir as well as NRI Candidates also eligible to write KEA CET Exam.
- Candidates applying for Medicine Exam should have the permission of Medicine and Dental Council.
- Applicants whose Age above the 17 years only eligible to apply for this Karnataka CET Exam. Candidates of Special Category can get Age exception of 5 to 6 years.

KCET 2018 - Application Form
KEA has released the KCET 2018 application form from 1st February 2018. Candidates can check here all details of filling the application form:
- The KCET online application form has been released only through online mode.
- No other mode is applicable to get the application form.
- Candidates can fill the KCET 2018 application form till 26th February 2018.
- Candidates have to upload their scanned photograph, left hand thumb impression and signature.
- The size of the photograph, signature & left hand thumb impression should be greater than 5 KB and less than 40 KB. The dimension should be 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm (Photograph), 3.5 cm x 1.5 cm (Signature & left hand thumb impression).
- Before filling the application form, candidates must read the instruction carefully.
- The authority may also provide the application correction facility via online mode.
- Take the printout of the filled application form for future use.
KCET 2018 - Application Correction
The editing option in KCET 2018 application form will be facilitated via online mode only. Candidates can correct/modify their wrong entries during the correction time. No offline mode will be entertained to make correction. After making the required correction, candidates should take printout of the application for further use.

- Click on the “Edit CET-2018 Application” link.
- A new page will be opened on the screen.
- Now, enter your User ID and click on “Send OTP” button.
- OTP will be sent to the entered mobile number.
- After submitting the generated OTO, changes will be done.
- Now, make corrections in wrong details.
- Verify and ensure that all the changes done are correct.
- After modifying details, click on the “Declare Button”.
- Take the printout of the modified application form for further use.
KCET 2018 - Exam Pattern
The exam pattern of KCET 2018 is given below:
- Mode of Exam: The exam will be held through offline mode (pen & paper based).
- Types of Question: Question paper will be Multiple Choice Type Question.
- Number of Questions: Total 60 question will be asked from each section.
- Time Duration: The total time duration is 320 minutes for the whole exam. Each section will be given 80 minutes.
- Marking Scheme: One mark will be awarded for each correct answer.
- Negative Marking: There is no provision for negative marking. No marks will be deducted for incorrect answer.
