The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the NEET 2018 admit card on April 17, 2018, in online mode. The admit card of NEET 2018 has not been released for candidates from open schools and those above the upper age limit as the Delhi High Court is still conducting a hearing on the NEET eligibility criteria. The NEET admit card for such candidates is expected be released on or after April 24, 2018. The 2018 NEET admit card was expected to be released in April second week as per the CBSE schedule but was delayed before finally being released in the third week of April. Step 1: Log on to the official website mentioned above

Step 2: On the homepage, click on the link for admit card

Step 3: In the provided fields, enter the required details like registration number, date of birth and security pin

Step 4: Click on submit

Step 5: Your admit card will be displayed on the screen

Important Changes in NEET 2018 Admit Card

  • No Proforma Requirement: Till last year, the NEET admit card contained a separate proforma sheet in which candidates were required to affix their postcard size photograph. However, the admit card of NEET 2018 only carries the main admit card details and important instructions, indicating that the proforma is no longer a requirement in the 2018 NEET admit card.
  • Separate Instructions Page: The CBSE has issued a separate 'Important Instructions' sheet which forms Page 2 of the NEET 2018 admit card document. Last year's admit card contained the important instructions on the same page as the admit card details, while the second page contained the proforma sheet which has now been done away with. Candidates can read on this page all the important instructions related to the NEET admit card 2018 as released by the CBSE.

NEET 2018 admit card will bear the following details:

Important Highlights of NEET 2018 Admit Card

  • Admit card will only be available in online mode and it will not be sent through any offline mode, either via post or any other means.

  • After downloading NEET hall ticket, candidates must carefully check all the information provided on the admit card of NEET 2018. In case of any incorrect information or even in case of spelling mistakes, the same must be immediately brought to the notice of the CBSE office.

  • No candidate will be allowed to enter the NEET examination hall without a valid NEET admit card 2018.

  • Candidates should report at the NEET exam centre with a valid admit card of NEET 2018 (with a passport size photograph affixed on it) and a passport size photograph (to be affixed on attendance sheet in the exam hall).

  • Candidates are required to carefully preserve the NEET admit card 2018 until the completion of admission process of MBBS/BDS.

  • When a candidate downloads the NEET 2018 admit card, a copy of the same (in PDF format) will automatically be sent to their registered email ID.

Important Instructions as per NEET 2018 Admit Card

Find below the important instructions issued by the CBSE on Page 2 of the NEET 2018 Admit Card -

  • No mobile phones allowed: Candidates will not be allowed to carry any communication device inside the exam hall.

  • Dress Code: The exam dress code will have to be adhered to strictly.

  • Read Information Bulletin Carefully: Candidates and their parents are requested to read the Information Bulletin carefully before the examination. Candidates are advised to adhere to all the instructions given in the Bulletin. Any Infringement of Instructions shall entail disciplinary action including no entry in the examination centre and ban from future NEET (UG) examinations.

  • About the Two Entry Slots: There are two entry slots, ie. “A” & “B”. For slot “A”, entry time is from 07:30 am to 08.30 am and for slot “B”, entry time is from 08:30 am to 09.30 am. Reach centre as per your allotted entry slot. This will avoid rush at entry during summer.

  • Visit Centre in Advance: It is advised to visit the centre a day before the examination to confirm the location, distance etc. of centre to avoid delay. It is the responsibility of the candidate to reach the centre on time. No candidate, whatsoever is the reason, shall be allowed entry in examination centre after 9.30 am. Check the time with the clock available on NEET website.

  • Reach Centre on Time: Parents may ensure that their ward is leaving for examination as per instructions given in the Bulletin especially in Chapter 5, 9 & 11. They shall also ensure that they are reaching the examination centre as per entry slot on the day of examination. For the same, your ward should leave the home, well in advance, considering traffic, location of the centre and weather condition etc. to avoid any problem in reaching late to the centre. Parent may sign in Admit Card as an undertaking that they will ensure compliance of NEET examination rules.

  • Material to be brought on the day of examination: (i) Valid Admit Card, (ii) Passport Size Photograph to be affixed on attendance sheet. No other document is required to be carried.

  • No arrangement for personal belongings: No arrangement will be made at the centres for keeping any article/item/mobile/purse/Key etc. of the candidates.

  • Provision of pens: Candidates shall be provided Blue/Black ball point pen at the examination centre to write particulars on the cover page of Test Booklet, OMR sheet and for darkening the circles of responses.

  • About Frisking: Candidates will strictly follow all the instructions issued to check unfair activities in the examination. Candidate will be frisked before commencement of the examination. Physically & with scanners.

  • About photograph: Please affix your photograph in Admit Card as uploaded on your online application form.

  • Check Test Booklet: Candidate should check carefully that the Test Booklet Code printed on Side 2 of the OMR sheet is the same as printed on Test Booklet and ensure that the Test Booklet contains as many numbers of pages as written on the top of the cover page of the Test Booklet.

  • No tampering with Test Booklet: The Candidate shall not remove any page(s) from the Test Booklet and if any page(s) is/are found missing from his/her test booklet, he/she will be prosecuted and shall be liable for criminal action.

  • Use of Toilets: No candidate shall be allowed to use toilets in last 30 minutes of examination i.e. from 12.30 pm to 01.00 pm.

  • Leaving Exam Hall: No Candidate shall be allowed to leave the Examination Hall before concluding the Test. On completion of the Test, candidate must hand over duly signed OMR Sheet to the Invigilator and take away only the Test Booklet. No Candidate shall be allowed to leave the Examination Hall without handing over the OMR sheet to the Invigilator concerned.

  • Admit Card and Eligibility: The Admit Card is issued provisionally to the candidate subject to his/her satisfying the eligibility conditions.

  • Preserving Admit Card: Candidate must preserve the Admit Card till the allotment of seat in College/Institution.

  • For further updates: Candidate may regularly visit Board’s website www.cbseneet.nic.in for latest updates. Candidate may also check email regularly till the completion of final round of Counselling.

  • Regarding medium of exam: For Medium of question papers please read instructions 2(C) in chapter - 2 of Information Bulletin. In case of any ambiguity in translation of any of the questions, its English version shall be treated as final.
