The Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test is conducting on 25th February 2018 at the various exam centers in the Punjab State. Candidates who want to become the teacher they can able to download the admit card of PSTET 2018 and appeared in the exam. The board has uploaded the admit card on its official website so candidates can download the hall ticket as soon as possible.

The Board has postponed the exam and given the new date i.e. 25th February 2018. Candidates can get the PSTET Call Letter 2018 from below link which is already activated. Registration date has already over. Now it’s time to get the admit card according to roll number wise. Candidates just have to follow the steps and check the complete details about the exam.

The written test is going to schedule at various exam centers. There will be two paper i.e. paper 1 & paper 2. Paper 1 will conduct for Class I to V (Primary Class). Candidates who have filled the online form for paper 1 they must download the admit card. Paper 2 will schedule for Class VI to VIII (Secondary classes). PSTET Call Letter 2018 Download

  • Eligible candidates can visit the PSTET Official Website.
  • On the home page, candidates can see the login details.
  • Enter the Registration Number and Password.
  • Click on login and click on the link of admit card.
  • After clicking, admit card will show on the screen.
  • Verify all details and download the PSTET Hall Ticket 2018.
  • Candidates can take multiple printouts of A4 Size paper.

PSTET 2018 Exam Pattern

Candidates who are going to attempt the question paper those candidates can complete the exam within 90 minutes. 150 Multiple choice questions will be asked in the exam. Each correct answer will carry one mark and deduct 1/4 marks for the wrong answer.

PSTET Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility criteria are given below-

ELIGIBILITY FOR CLASSES I TO V
  • Applicants should have 50% marks at least in his/her 12th of its equivalent examination and finalized or appearing in last/final year of two-year Diploma in Elementary Education. OR,
  • Applicants need to acquire 45% minimum marks in Senior Secondary of its equivalent examination & finalized or appearing in last/final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education as per the NCTE, Regulations, 2002. OR,
  • Students need to acquire 50% minimum marks in Senior Secondary of its equivalent examination & finalized or appearing in final/last year of 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education. OR,
  • Students need to obtain 50% minimum marks in Senior Secondary of its equivalent examination and finalized or appearing in final/last year of 2-year Diploma in Education. OR,
  • He/she would be having Bachelor’s degree or appearing in final/last year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
ELIGIBILITY FOR CLASSES 6TH-8TH:
  • Applicants should be having Bachelor’s degree or appearing in last year of two-year Diploma in Elementary Education. OR,
  • Students should have Graduation degree by with 50% minimum marks and completed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. degree. OR,
  • Aspirant should have Bachelor’s degree with 45% minimum marks and completed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed., as per the procedure and norms of NCTE. OR,
  • Students should have completed Senior Secondary or its equivalent by with 50% marks and completed or appearing in final/last year of 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education. OR,
  • Students should have completed Senior Secondary or its equivalent examination with 50% minimum marks and passed or appearing in final/last year of 4-year B.A. Ed/B.A or B.Sc.Ed/B.Sc.Ed. OR,
  • Students should be having at least 50% marks and cleared or appearing in one-year B.Ed.

Application Fee

  • For General/OBC candidates need to pay 600 Rs.
  • For SC/ST and differently abled candidates need to pay 300 Rs.
  • For Ex0serviceman (self) No Fee

Examination Pattern

All the questions asked in PSTET RE multiple choice questions. Each accurate answer reward you 1 mark. And you have to opt the accurate answer among all 4 options. Here is the benefit for the students there is no negative marking if you pick the wrong one.

  • First Paper: Paper I is directed for those Students who want to be a teacher for classes 1st to 5th.
  • Second Paper: Paper II is directed those who Students want to be a teacher for classes 6th to 8th.

Students, who are interested for both the categories, he/she need to appear in Paper 1st as well as Paper 2nd.
