The Railway Recruitment Board or RRB often conducts various RRB Recruitment processes. This year RRB is executing multiple recruitment drives such as RRB ALP & Technicians, RRC Group D, etc. The latest of them is the Assistant Station Master (ASM) Recruitment. As you know, the Indian Railways is the biggest recruiter in India. In the year 2018, RRB will be recruiting for 50,000 vacancies to fill the posts of ASM. Though the Official Notification regarding this is not out yet, we have confirmed from our sources that RRB will be recruiting for ASM and the official notification will be released anytime soon. The Railway Recruitment Board has already started the recruitment process & the online application for this will start from 4th April 2018 (tentatively). RRB ASM Important Dates

RRB ASM Apply Online 2018

As soon as the railway recruitment board announces dates to apply online, and the form becomes available, you can apply online. Looking at the recently completed railway recruitment 2018 for other posts, the expected flow of application process could be as follows.

Step 1:- First of all you will register. In this process you will enter basic details like name, date of birth, father’s name, mother’s name, class 10 roll number, email id.

Step 2:- Now you will get OTP on mobile and email. Use the OTP to confirm registration and then login.

Step 3:- After this you will fill first part of the online form. There will be a number of entries to be completed in it.

Step 4:- Next comes payment. Pay requisite application fee.

Step 5:- Now complete second part of form. In all parts, the details that you enter in form should be correct.

Step 6:- Complete and submit the form.

APPLICATION FEES

The application fee for RRB TC GG ASM 2018 will be announced through the notification. Going by the other recruitments done by railways, the fee is expected to be nominal, around 250- 500.

SALARY/PAY SCALE

Pay Scale – Rs.5,200/- to  Rs.20,200/- (Grade Pay: Rs 2800/-) plus allowances as admissible.

RRB ASM Eligibility Criteria 2018

Railway recruitment board will announce the eligibility criteria for each post. It is expected to be as follows, however confirmed eligibility criteria will be updated here when RRB TC GG ASM recruitment 2018 notification releases.

• Minimum age – 18 years
• Maximum age – 32 years

Relaxation

• SC – 5 years
• ST – 5 years
• OBC – 3 years
• PwD – 10 years

Each post may have different criteria too.

RRB ASM Salary

Salary of Assistant Station Master or ASM is in pay band 5200 – 20200, grade pay 2800. Upon implementation of the seventh pay commission, the salary is to change to pay band 9300 – 34800 and grade pay 4200.

Assistant Station Master, Ticket Collector, Goods Guard have the same pay scale.

RRB ASM Syllabus 2018

Syllabus, as well as exam pattern of RRB TC GG ASM recruitment 2018, will be announced once the notification releases. Going by the usual exam pattern of railway recruitment 2018, it is expected to be as follows.

Mode of exam: Online
Maximum marks: 100
Exam duration: 1.5 hours

The selection will be based on 3 stages:

1. Prelims
2. Mains
3. Interview
