Engineering Agricultural and Medical Common Entrance Test, commonly called as EAMCET, is an entrance examination required for admission to some engineering and medical colleges in the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, India. Many other colleges offering graduation courses like BDS, B.Pharm., BSc., Pharm.D., B.E, B. Tech, etc. require qualification in this exam. The coaching industry for the EAMCET is estimated at nearly Rs. 50 billion (approximately $110 million) a year.

Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Hyderabad will prescribe the TS EAMCET 2018 exam pattern for all the candidates appearing in the exam. Candidates will be able to know about the type, nature, number and pattern of the questions that will be asked through the exam pattern of TS EAMCET 2018. It will also allow candidates to know about the total time duration of the exam, mode in which the exam will be conducted, language in which the question paper will be made and marks allotted to each question and section which is important for candidates to know so that they can appear in exam managing their time, speed and efficiency. The entrance exam of TS EAMCET will be conducted for 3 hours with total 160 questions – 80 in Mathematics, 40 in Physics and 40 in Chemistry.

The questions in TS EAMCET 2018 will be objective type which means candidates will have to choose the right option from four options given to them. The EAMCET Examination will be held in 3 continues days, 2nd, 3rd and 4th of May 2018. The examination will be held in 8 sessions. For each session, 25,000 students can take up the examination. The state is making arrangements to conduct the EAMCET examination through online. Though 30,000 computers are accessible to conduct the examination for 1 session, the Government is considering only 25,000 students to appear for one session. To avoid the technical glitches, and seating adjustment problems the TSCHE has decided to precise the number of candidates per session as 25,000. The examination for Agriculture branch and Engineering branch will be held separately.

Earlier the EAMCET examination has been conducted in pen-paper based while the TSCHE has changed the total format of the examination and decided to conduct the examination through online. Also, earlier the examination was conducted for Agriculture and Engineering branches on same day in morning and afternoon sessions. While from 2018, the examination for Engineering and Agriculture branches will be held separately.

  • Course: TS EAMCET is organized for engineering courses.
  • Number of Questions: Total 160 questions will be asked in the entrance test.
  • Question Paper Type: Objective Type Questions. Four alternative options will be given for each question, candidates have to choose the right one.
  • Subjects:  The question paper covers 80 questions from Mathematics, 40-40 questions from Physics and Chemistry.
  • Mode of Exam: AP EAMCET 2018 will be conducted in online mode (Computer Based Test).
  • Question Paper Language: The question paper is available in two languages i.e., English and Telugu.
  • Duration: 3 hours (10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.)
  • Marking Scheme: Each correct answer will contain 1 mark.
  • Negative Marking: No negative marking in this exam.

TS EAMCET Exam Pattern 2018 : Agriculture & Medical

Here, we are providing the details about TS EAMCET exam pattern for agriculture course

  • Course: It is also held for admission to first year undergraduate agriculture courses.
  • Number of Questions: There will be total 160 questions in the entrance test.
  • Question Paper Type: The question paper will contain only multiple choice questions. Four alternative options will be available for each question. Students have to darken only the correct one.
  • Subjects:  The question paper will comprise of 80 questions in Biology (Botany – 40, Zoology – 40), 40 questions in Physics and 40 questions in Chemistry.
  • Mode of Exam: Offline mode (Pen and Paper Based).
  • Question Paper Language: The question paper is available in two languages i.e., English and Telugu.
  • Duration: 3 hours (2:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.)
  • Marking Scheme: Each question carries one mark for right response.
  • Negative Marking: There is no clause for negative marking. The candidates are free to attempt as many questions as possible without thinking about the wrong attempt.
