The Union Public Service Commission is India's central recruiting agency. It is responsible for appointments to and examinations for All India services and group A & group B of Central services.While Department of Personnel and Training is the central personnel agency in India. Geologist

• Master’s Degree in Geological Science/ Geology /Applied Geology / Geo Exploration / Mineral Exploration / Engineering Geology / Marine Geology / Earth Science and Resource Management/ Oceanography and Coastal Areas Study / Petroleum Exploration / Petroleum Geoscience/ Geochemistry /Geological Technology / Geophysical Technology from a recognized university or institute.

Geophysicist

• M.Sc.in Physics / Applied Physics / Geophysics or Exploration Geophysics / Applied Geophysics /Marine Geophysics or M.Sc. Tech. in Applied Geophysics from a recognized institute.

Chemist

• Master Degree in Chemistry/ Applied Chemistry / Analytical Chemistry from a recognized university

Junior Hydrogeologist

• Max Age for post-1 to 3: 32 years
• Max Age for post-4: 35 years
• Age relaxation is applicable as per rules

UPSC CGS & Geologist - Application Fee

Candidates (excepting Female/SC/ST/PWD who are exempted from payment of fee) are required to pay a fee of Rs.200/-(Rupees Two Hundred Only) either by depositing the money in any Branch of SBI by cash, or by using net banking facility of State Bank of India or by using Visa/Master/RuPay Credit/Debit Card.
